14 years since the first, and worth the wait! Didn't get 5 stars because it lacks the novelty of the original, but it hits all the right notes. You see the jokes coming a mile away, but can't help but laugh at this funny, crazy, wacky, annoying, syrupy sweet, obnoxious, nosy, passionately loving and caring family.
The cast looks like they are having a blast and Andrea Martin steals every scene she is in. The audience at my showing was laughing out loud. I'm Latino and I saw so much of my family in this film. It's just a fun, not cynical, warm, funny, pleasant movie.
