My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is a horrendously bad comedy with no laughs. The acting is pretty subpar. None of it is awful, but the characters are all so bad they have nothing to work with. The characters are all bad exaggerations of Greek people.
They are all very annoying and unlikeable. The story is very bad. The story is so forced. The problems with character and story are the script's fault. Nia Vardalos' script is extremely bad. The humor is very sitcom-ish, and it really doesn't work.
I've never seen the first film, so I can't really compare. But I bet it is much better than this piece of garbage. Overall, while the film is sweet, it is filled with unlikeable characters and a forced plot.
