Review of My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) by Luigi D — 11 Oct 2012
One of my favorite films from my teenage years and one that curiously represents me pretty well as an individual. It is edgy and clever, but also lighthearted and accesible (like me!); it is a frothy diversion, but an insightful experience for those who are approaching the 30s too.
It is an anti-romantic comedy that has aged well, in part due to Julia Roberts' commited performance as a multidimensional woman who is the heroine and the villain of her own story. A very special little flick that I love to watch once in a while.
