Julianne and Michael have been best friends for nine years. Julianne finally realises she loves Michael when he decides to marry someone else.
Julia Roberts is great in this film. She really showed us a psychotic side to Julianne before she evolved to be reasonable. She is one of the best actresses of her generation. Cameron Diaz suits this role perfectly, vexingly cute and impossibly happy, not that I liked her for it.
This being the second time I've seen it, the story is still fresh. Its a really nice and light romantic comedy that you don't take seriously and just watch.
