Review of My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) by Rich W — 12 Nov 2007
This film may adress the issues of race, class and sexuality in Thatcher's Britain but it does so much more, this is not simply a representation of live in 80's South London, it a story of hope, and intelligent poke at the establishment, as well as a poke at both left and right ideologies.
But while watching this film, dont think about these issues, just let the film sink into your skin, its main message is about hope.
