Review of My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) by Trevor L — 21 Nov 2008
Omar(Warnecke) and Johnny (Day-Lewis) take over Omar's uncle's decayed laundrette and make it into a thriving business but will their beliefs and the beliefs of Omar's family tear them apart.
Good performances by the two leads. Very dated at times but the film has an important message and delivers it well.
