Review of My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) by Bill M — 28 Jul 2011
For starters, the homosexual relationship in the film comes out of nowhere and doesn't feel necessary at all. The film also contains this weird, bubbly music which feels so out of context. The saving grace of the film is Daniel Day-Lewis, who is brilliant.
Why he is not the main character remains a mystery.
