Review of My All American (2015) by Arthur R — 26 May 2016
Call me a sucker for a true-life sports epic, but I found this genuinely engaging. Solid performances all round and while their is obvious milking for sympathy, its still an utterly true story which negates the use of melodrama. Who doesn't love a real underdog story and what it must have been like to witness. And lets not forget how important this story is in the greater scheme of the medical community worldwide. Right up there with Coach Carter and Remember The Titans.
Resonant Line: "Reporter: Im sorry coach, but Freddie Steinmark wasn't an All-American. Coach Royal: No, but he was my All-American.".
