Review of Mutual Appreciation (2005) by Paul N — 05 Nov 2007
A grungy 16mm mutt of a comedy drama, about life, love, sex and inspiration in NYC, featuring permanently arch twentysomethings who spend the entire picture skating a fine line between being amusingly real and flat-out annoying.
Something that's none-too-endearing when you're watching an 80 minute film that's been Stretch Armstrong-ed out to a bloated 110 minutes. Still, there are moments and conversations to like in this film, but they're spread way too thin.
