Review of Mutual Appreciation (2005) by Hilary T — 19 Apr 2008
Okay, it's Justin Rice, so there's automatically a line in which this can't fall under. I watched this at CIFF two years ago and I loved it. I just want to say Mutual Appreciation is not about akwardness and indie rock.
(Funny HaHa was, and that was shit) This entire film is about alan auditioning that asian girl's brother whilst talking about math rock all the way to them playing their first gig (mainly all the buzzing and particulates of "Quarter to Three") for the first time.
Just that(and that is alot). and the smoking. And if Bujalski can put it on camera, than fucking awesome.
