Review of Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) by Darien S — 05 Sep 2012
The performances in the film are powerful and the moral complexities are greatly appreciated. This film could have relied on played out tropes of people rebelling against their leaders but it didn't, instead humanizing every character.
Even Charles Laughton's stubborn and commanding William Bligh is shown to have moments of compassion.
