Gritty neon eye candy, Mute is a lopsided narrative but a good one. The story follows Leo a Quaker/ Amish man who struggles with retaining his values while he navigates a high tech version of Germany. Touchscreen refrigerators, automated libraries, and cell phones all serve as vices in for Leo as he pursues his missing girlfriend.

Ultimately resulting in a story about his willingness to betray his sense of self for the ones he loves. This, while being a good story, could've been told better. The story continues on aimlessly and meanders through subplots it had no place in long after the plot should've been resolved.

Characters not given attention in the first have of the movie become far to relevant later in the movie with no development due to their minimal contribution to the story in the begging. However even though the way it tells a good story is a little pitiful the visuals are incredible, not much I can say about them you just gotta see it.

Also Nathan from Misfits plays the ...drag queen?
