Review of Mute (2018) by Berik — 17 Jan 2019
I don't understand how people can give this movie 3's and 4's, and yet give movies like Bright a 7... but I guess that's how opinions work. So here's my take on Mute!
I really like it. We get Cyberpunk, we get a good bad guy played by Paul Rudd, and we get a very Pure guy who is driven by selfless reasons. He can't talk because of an accident in his childhood, so he draws nice sketches which say more than words. He goes to seek his girlfriend who is missing, and he meets people from the strange Cyberpunk underworld.
But who really steels the show is Paul Rudd, who is very good at being a dark person in this movie. The movie is gruesome, and it kept me entertained till the end. It is an excellent movie, I give it an 8/10.
