Review of Mute (2016) by Ted W — 25 Feb 2018
Wrapping my head around some of the reviews has been far more of a slog than the film ever was. I honestly feel like I must have seen a different cut of this film than everyone else. Found it to be gripping throughout.
The story would've worked in any era but the future setting only serves to highlight the uniqueness of Skarsgard's character and Paul Rudd's evolution through the film is pretty fantastic.
If you're looking for a typical sci-fi flick that's smacking you in the face with lasers then yeah this isn't the film for you, but personally I'd recommend this film to everyone.
