Review of Mutant Chronicles (2008) by Teoman P — 27 Aug 2009

Well this was one helluva fun movie! This is perhaps what I'd call a B-Movie par excellence; it's not a mainstream/pop movie, it's a B Movie, and it's one of the best looking/sounding B-Movies out there! The special effects are amazing and we can't really tell between CGI and scenery, not all the time though, and that's good, because as much as many elements show lots of enthusiasm and creativity from the filmmakers, there are just as many elements that remind us it's still a B-Movie, but LORD KNOWS WHAT A B-MOVIE! The camera angles, the colors, the setting, the craziness of some ideas (a WWI-like looking war in 2707 with just evolved guns? HAH!), and the explosions all over the place make it feel like this was watching half a video game and half a movie, this is Command and Conquer meets Gears of War meets Sin City meets Far Cry meets 300 meets whatever action film/game you want! I recommend it to all the fans of the genre, and even to those who just want some fun for 2 hours!
