Apocalyptic? Not precisely, especially if you consider how oddly the budget was employed: amazing visuals, a full-star cast (Perlman, Aoki, Jane, Malkovich) but incredibly cheap gore. In the end, this is more lame that the disappointing Resident Evil live-action sequels. This would make a very cool videogame (or... does a videogame exists already?) but the substance was managed very poorly and in a terribly uninspired way, just like Doomsday, but worse.
