Review of Mutant Chronicles (2008) by Michael C — 08 Sep 2010
Dark, sombre, artistic satire cinima apocolyptic flick from the future when the evacuation of the planet has begun.
After years of conflict with oneanother, a centuries old machine has activated and the offspring manufactured mutant beings, manipulated into mutants through 'conveyerbelt processes of captivity, alive via this machines core intent-to distroy humanity'. It has started a unification of the federations/nations armies for an all out anilation of the zombie mutants. The people were failing but an answer now lies in the hands of a selected taskforce of elite soldiers to complete a destruction mission of the machine itself.
Apart from some very poor acting, only in parts this flick was a very enjoyable alternative style film fittling the b-grade heap if not appreciated fully.
The parrallel relm like earth and look of its predated armies was easy to see from the costuming department giving a sense of mass human losses without the mutants interuption ...yet. The weapons had some thought too and flying craft, but the script held back performances I thought if not directly the actors fault y'know.
I wasn' T-T expecting much so was pleasently suprised by this. ..sci-fi really.
