This is, without a doubt, one for the nerd-core. Unfortunately, the limited budget shines through in places to hinder what is an excellent back-story based on a role-playing game.
The alternate reality genre is difficult and very difficult to do right. While some scenes fall flat and the acting hits questionable patches in places, for what it is, it presents the sci-fi/fantasy genre with a palatable presentation of one eff'ed up world.
