I`m not a fan of romantic movies but I gave this a go because Diane Lane is wonderful and I ADORE John Cusack - great actor (even if he looks like he might be a douche in real life).
It`s cute and Jake is socially awkward yet strangely charming because he`s so giving. Thought it was gimmicky how all her family members didn`t like the ex and loved Jake but how else are we supposed to know he`s the better pick right? I mean the other contender was hot and his wife threw him out because he was an incorrigible womaniser with a glib tongue and we`ll never see any of the rest coming!
Snore. Hated that she went on a date rampage after letting Jake go the first time and hated the abrupt way they justified kicking the hot dad out but giving it a good three stars because the dogs' acting as well as Sarah`s family dynamics were amazing. So good. Definitely worth watching on TV for free while I had my dinner.
