Enjoyable and funny. Hugh Grant is likable as Alex Fletcher a former '80s pop star who earns his living by performing at theme parks and high school reunions until a popular teen singer asks him to write a song for her and perform it as a duet.
But Alex has never been good at writing lyrics and conveniently in his life enters Sophie (Drew Barrymore), who comes to water his plants and happens to have a talent for writing.
