Review of Music and Lyrics (2007) by Phillipe H — 26 Nov 2011
Cute, poppy, and light, this romantic comedy may be more heavily oriented towards female viewers, but from a musical standpoint I can appreciate the amount of detail they put into the instruments and configurations.
Otherwise, the Hugh Grant-Drew Barrymore chemistry is classic, but somewhat superficial and unbelievable. A good chick flick for the couples, the film's two stars remain covered by the poorly developed characters and somewhat pathetic design (a plant sitter? of all things?).
