Review of Music and Lyrics (2007) by Davidr. — 19 Feb 2007
Much more pleasant than I expected. The witty dialogue and subtle - and not so subtle skewering of contemporary pop culture. Hugh Grant plays to type, but I happen to like that type, the somewhat bemused British semi-intellect, and Drew Barrymore displays an intelligence that I was actually unprepared for.
And newcomer Haley Bennett was intriguing as the iconic pop diva. Fluff perhaps, but not empty fluff.
