Review of Music and Lyrics (2007) by William O — 10 Jun 2011
Oh wow, the writing in this movie is so brilliant by far Marc Lawrences best work so far anyway, I totally loved this movie and as a struggling musician myself its easy to relate to. Yet I think at the same time anyone can appreciate the brilliantly written story here.
I dont really want to add any spoilers into my review, but this movie was so amazing I could totally spoil it for you I remember so much of the movie afterward its one you cant really forget. Definitely one youll remember seeing.
It does have its corny eighties moments and a few corny not so well written songs, but it hardly matters since thats not even the focus of the movie, it just mainly focuses on the new comeback success of a musician who to quote my favorite line in the whole movie ok well cant remember direct quote but it was something like this (I like being called a has been it means that everything meaningful and good I ever did is in my past and so I have no high expectations to live up to, its less stressful) lol I love that line, sorry its so badly misquoted, but when you watch the movie youll see its brilliance better in its original writing.
I searched the net for famous quotes from the movie and could not find it written anywhere, maybe someone out there can fix that, its noteworthy enough to be a famous quote in my opinion anyway.
