Inspiration for JT LeRoy? Doubtful, far-fetched, I know, seeing as truck-stop transexuals living inside a woman's head probably didn't watch Louis Malle films. But, really, you never know. Excellent film, with a really feel-good ending. Well, kinda. Depends on who you are, I guess.
Really good coming-of age movie, one of the best I've ever seen.
