Review of Muriel's Wedding (1994) by Mimian R — 28 Nov 2007
Wonderful. Pulls all the heartstrings in all the right ways. I hate to see this relegated to mere "chick flick" status because there's so much more going on here. Muriel's mother is so tragic.
For that matter, so is Muriel. Toni Collette does a phenomenal job here, as does Rachel Griffiths. I saw this movie over 10 years ago and it still holds up.
