Muriel is a character you feel sorry for. she's unconfident, a misfit with no love life and no goals to succeed. the only thing she feels will make her worth living is if she gets married. she is completely obsessed with the idea and this film follows her on her journey to find out whether getting married is the real answer to her problems.

the film is funny, emotional & unique. see it! oh, and muriel is also a huge ABBA fan which is why the soundtrack is so good! :).
