Review of Muriel's Wedding (1994) by Elina K — 08 Feb 2009
So much to love about this movie...Toni Collette is absolutely adorable as Muriel. The characters are so well done, Bill Hunter as the father is charmingly despicable, Jeanie Drynan's face and eyes will break your heart as the totally devoted mother and Rachel Griffiths is a laugh-riot as the party girl friend with cancer (I know, I shouldn't think that's funny--but somehow it is!).
This movie is definitely worth watching.
