Review of Muriel's Wedding (1994) by Anne F — 03 Dec 2009

Muriel desperately wants to get married, but has never had a boyfriend, spends her time alone listening to Abba, has friends who think she is an embarrassment and she thinks she is a failure. The plot is quite dark - I thought that the film was just going to be a chick-flick-comedy (yawn!) but was surprised by the issues explored within the film.
