Review of Murderball (2005) by Tommy H — 30 Apr 2008
This movie wasn't about Murderball (or quadriplegic rugby). But it also wasn't about Zupan, Joe defecting to team Canada, the rivalry between the US and Canadian teams, the comradery among the members of the US team, the motocross guy, Zupan and Igoe, Joe and his son, or retaining the ability to engage in sexual activity in the face of physical disability.
All those things were there, but for a documentary I didn't think it really focused on anything enough. Whatever. It was a feel-good movie that kept me watching until the credits.
