Review of Murderball (2005) by Nick C — 01 Feb 2009
Really good documentary about Wheelchair bound Rugby enthusiasts and their preparation for the Olympic games where they will once again face their nemesis' Canada. It's an insightful look into how people cope day to day being wheelchair bound but doesn't feel sorry for them at all(which it shouldn't) it really highlights the fact that these guys have accomplished more in wheelchairs than a lot of Lazy bastards do that actually have fully functioning legs.
The film is rich in character and has a Lovely soundtrack - it's pretty moving and the 'bad guy' character Joe Sares even has a rude awakening half way through the film.
Great stuff.
