Review of Murderball (2005) by Todd S — 06 Aug 2005
I enjoyed the Aristocrats so much that when I saw that Murderball was another ThinkFilm movie I headed right out to see it. Totally different kind of movie, but a real gem. This movie almost makes you jealous that you're not eligible to play quad rugby (assuming you're able bodied, as I am).
This movie has the great suspense of Hollywood films of years gone by, but without the overacting (or acting of any kind) and implausible plots twists. It was as real as it gets, funny, interesting and inspiring.
Kind of like Rocky without the bad makeup! If you only see a few films this year, I'd definately make this one of them, whatever your tastes.
