Review of Murderball (2005) by Dave P — 09 Aug 2005
The main thought that went through my mind as I watched this well done documentary was how much I do not want to be crippled (I even made a silent vow to slow down on bike rides). Yet, watching these people coming to terms with the tragic losses/limitations of their lives is truly admirable.
As a Canadian, I'm glad this movie did not downshift into a "rah rah USA" sports flick. The actual game parts of the movie are interesting and engaging enough, but its the life stories that drew me in.
Cudos to Rubin and Shapiro for a well done documentary.
