Review of Murder Party (2007) by Dirigiblepulp — 12 Dec 2016
This is a fun little Halloween horror comedy. It's way too pleased with itself in its take-down of the hipster New York art scene. There's plenty of humor mined from it, but it also feels self-congratulatory, like the act of doing it is in and of itself transcendent and profoundly funny instead of any astute observations or depth.
Still, it's mostly a good time. In particular, the main character and his woeful Halloween costume are a treat.
