Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Anne M — 03 Mar 2018
While I liked Kenneth Branagh as Poirot and the photography was gorgeous, I didn't like this version as much as the one from the 70's. Christie's story didn't need the added violence, gun shots, train suspended over a gorge.
It just needed the use of the "little grey cells." Perhaps today's audiences need the added excitement, but the previous film was more faithful to the book.
