Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Liubo A — 07 Jan 2018
My review of the cast performances:
- Johnny Depp was a suitably creepy villain.
- Kenneth Branagh made a good, convincing Inspector Poirot.
- Penelope Cruz didn't have much of a role but was fine.
- Daisy Ridley was great as always (she was the ONLY decent thing in that AWFUL new Star Wars movie).
- Judi Dench did a serviceably convincing accent.
- Michelle Pheiffer was a stand out performance. Lots of raw emotion.
- William Defoe was fine.
- Derek Jacobi had a small role but made it memorable.
Overall, an excellent adaptation. Highly recommended.
