Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Michael C — 10 Nov 2017
Kenneth Branagh has authored yet another masterpiece. With the fine cinematic hand of Ridley Scott and the collaboration of several amazing actors, Kenneth Branagh's version of Christie's iconic murder mystery ripples with suspense.
This movie is chock a block with characters cut with crystalline clarity from the pages of one of the most popular detective stories in world literature. Branagh faced a very difficult hurdle - surpassing Sidney Lumet's 1974 version that featured a glittering Pleiadian cast headed by Albert Finney.
With the help of 65mm cinematography by Haris Zambarloukos and a script by Michael Green, both rising stars, Branagh has directed the now iconic movie version of Christie's most intriguing classic novel.
