This movie marked a comeback for the Agatha Christie movies and has a great cast but is not quite as sparkling as Death on The Nile. Albert Finney may be more correct as Poiret but also more theatrical and for once did not deserve his oscarnomination. Lauren Bacall however is wonderful, John Gielgud right on target - he won a Bafta-award for it - and Ingrid Bergman became a surprised Oscar-winner.
Even if the plot is a bit confusing at times, the production and the costumes are superior, and it is directed with a good sence of style by veteran director Sidney Lumet.
