Review of Murder on the Orient Express (1974) by Kenneth D — 01 Oct 2008
An intriguing story of murder and cover-ups, this adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel, is highly entertaining.
The cast, led by Albert Finney as Hercule Poirot, is as impressive as many of the films based on Agatha Christie's novels. Lauren Becall gives an emotionally complex performance, supported by the likes of Jacqueline Bisset, Michael York, Sir Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her powerful, but quiet performance.
Recommended for any who wish to enjoy a smart, artfully filmed mystery.
