Review of Murder on the Orient Express (1974) by Jonathan B — 28 Apr 2012
Very good movie and something any mystery fan will probably want to see. It is a little hard to follow at times since there are so many characters, but it should not be a problem if you pay attention and do not have any distractions.
There were some very good characters here, but given how many only Albert Finneyâ??s got much screen time. The final, climatic scene where the killer is revealed had some great build up and tension, but I was kind of upset at the ultimate outcome.
I wonâ??t spoil the movie by saying what happened, but I think it will leave a lot of people unsatisfied. Still, Robert Altman crafted another well done film that a lot of people, although not everyone, should enjoy.
Three stars might be selling this movie a little short, and I might bump it up a little later.
