Review of Murder in the First (1995) by Armand E — 02 Jun 2007
One of the best prison/lawyer movies ever made. The camera work gets a bit too flashy in a couple scenes but works really well in the courtroom scenes. Beautifully shot and scored. Cristian Slater is belivable as a young, still learning his trade but ballsy lawyer.
Kevin Bacon is solid as Henry Young and Gary Oldman puts in one of the evilest, best performances of his career.
