Review of Murder in the First (1995) by Jon B — 12 Nov 2007
One of the most moving performances I have ever seen in my life comes from Kevin Bacon in this movie. He is mesmerizing as a petty criminal undergoing unimaginable hardship, and totally dominated the movie when he is on screen.
Some of the supporting performances are a little hokey, and the camera moves around too much, but Bacon's performance is what this film is all about. Superb music by Chris Young too.
