I recently went to a local theatre to see Murder Capital of the World with little expectation as to how good this movie was going to be. I have to say; I found this movie to be one of the most comprehensibly compelling documentary style films I have ever seen.

The violence that has consumed Juarez, Mexico by drug lords and the blatant corruption throughout local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies has created an environment never seen this close to US soil.

The movie points out several disturbing facts such as the murder rate in Juarez has declined from 8 per day to an astonishing 6 per day; the majority of which are never investigated due to their sheer numbers.

This film takes you on a journey through the violent streets of Juarez like no one else dares and will open your eyes to the horrors that are taking place just a stone skip over the US southern border.

The real heroes of this film are that the citizens of Juarez that are desperately trying to take their City back form all the corruption and murder that has all but destroyed their home town. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone as it was extremely well made, and focused on a subject that the United States has all but ignored up to this point.
