Review of Murder by Numbers (2002) by Jenny L — 31 Jul 2009
This film had the potential to be so much more than it was. It was never really suspenseful, and the ending was fairly predictable. Bullock's performance was flat and uninspired, well short of what she is capable of.
The best parts about this film were the solid performances by Pitt and Gosling. They were truly believable as the two emotionally disturbed young men out to execute the perfect murder. Overall, a decent film that strives to be an above average thriller, but just falls short.
