Review of Murder by Death (1976) by Alison O — 17 Feb 2009
A great cast of sleuths come together for a pointed spoof on the classic murder mystery movies and novels of the time. Truman Capote plays the role as only he could - weird little man, eccentric and deviously genius.
Alec Guinness as the blind butler and Peter Falk as a classless gumshoe - such a great combination of actors together. Peter Sellers plays a role that was somehow acceptable in the 70's, but would never be today.
An uproarious good time.
