Review of Muppets Most Wanted (2014) by Brian T — 09 May 2014
Apart from the songs which are all excellent (particularly the duet between Miss Piggy and Celine Dion) this film doesn't reach the heady heights that The Muppets (2011) did. It's still very enjoyable though.
Even Ricky Gervais can't spoil it - in fact his understated performance as the World's Number Two Criminal is rather good. As a big Marx Brothers fan I particularly enjoyed the scene where Fozzie accidentally breaks a mirror and Kermit has to mimic the actions of his doppelganger, the villainous Constantine, which felt like a Muppet homage to Duck Soup.
