Review of Muppets Most Wanted (2014) by Graham B — 18 Jul 2014

Mildly amusing follow up to the 2011 film opens where that last one left off with a song about sequels not being as good. This knowing joke, recently used in 21 Jump street, is all very nodding to the camera, but making a good film would be much better.

The creaking plot is quite an onus to handle at first and it took a while to find much humour here. Once it gets going though, so does the laughter and the finale heist scene made my chuckle a lot. Some of it works (Ty Burrell & Sam the Eagle) some of it doesn't (Ricky Gervais, most of the songs) There is enough good here to recommend, albeit mildly. Catch it on TV.
