Not terrible, but will inevitably be compared to the far superior Great Muppet Caper, which was less over the top, with a drier wit that played better than the constant slap-stick. Gervais' character is enjoyable for the most part, but Fey and Burrell somehow never quite connect.

Even the cameos feel a bit played out. I'm hoping the next go around will give us the Muppets used as characters in a story as in Muppet Caper or a Muppet Christmas Carol rather than as building a story once again around a traveling variety show, which proves rather limiting and repetitious here.
