Where its immediate predecessor returned the bunch to pop culture with nostalgic wit, Most Wanted turns the brand into a petty means to regurgitate a thoughtless plot and plug it with self-references that comprise the film's entire purpose.
This is a devastation of the Muppet name and sentiment, and it's one of the most egregiously insulting money-grabs Hollywood has puked up in recent memory, given context.
