Review of Muppets Most Wanted (2014) by Devin E — 25 Sep 2014
The Muppets finds themselves taking a grand World Tour after their "comeback" (see "The Muppets") has been deemed successful. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Scooter, Walter, Fozzie the Bear, Rowlf the Dog etc.
have been seeing some of the world's most beautiful cities including London, Madrid and Berlin but their carefree journey is soon coming to an end when they unsuspectingly cross paths with "the World's Number One Criminal", Constantine -- who just happens to be Kermit the Frog's doppelganger! Constantine's undetected infiltration of the Muppets' inner circle allows him to pull off even more heists as his Muppets clearance has allowed him to make bolder more provocative moves across the globe with the help of dastardly sidekick, Dominic -- also known as Number Two (Ricky Gervais - The Invention of Lying)!.
Piggy soon suspects something is wrong with her Kermie after HE proposes and their wedding date approaches! Can the real Kermit break out of his (literal) prison that is guarded by the feisty Nadya (Tina Fey - Mean Girls)? Can the Muppets save the Day again? The second Muppets feature after its reboot is more good, clean fun that keeps an innocent charm to it that other family films have trouble doing.
It is slight, clean and more of the same.
