Review of Muppets Most Wanted (2014) by Ryan V — 20 Dec 2014
The Muppets agree to a European tour after signing with a shady manager named Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais). Things worsen when Kermit the Frog is replaced with an evil doppelganger who's intent on using the Muppets as a smokescreen for a brazen theft of the Crown Jewels.
People don't seem to like this movie as much as its immediate predecessor, but found it to be a funny and amiable picture with good songs, solid jokes, and a number of enjoyable celebrity cameos. It may be drenched in a bit more irony than the original Muppet fare, but I think it does a fine job of carrying Jim Henson's torch.
